Hyundai, one of the world’s fastest growing vehicle manufacturers, introduces its luxury sedan – the Hyundai Genesis. Combining cutting-edge technology, proven performance and innovative design, the Genesis guarantees one of the best driving experiences.
Exterior
Casey Hyun, Hyundai’s lead designer, applied the “Fluidic Sculpture” design philosophy for the Genesis with its sleek yet conservative contours enhancing the sedan’s aerodynamic form. The Genesis’ exterior style is further heightened with its hexagonal grille. For a sportier driving experience, its twin-panel panorama glass roof allows natural light to bathe the sedan’s interior. This also offers protection from external noise and heat. Due to its unique design aesthetics, it earned an award from the European Red Dot Design Awards in 2014.
Interior
Aside from its exterior design, the Genesis offers a well-balanced and spacious interior as well. From its highly detailed leather seats, ergonomically designed interior trimmings and dashboard to cloth-covered pillars, strategically placed knobs and switches, it exudes luxury and comfort for both driver and passengers. Everything a driver needs is within reach to elevate his or her overall driving experience. Hyundai’s design philosophy is to make luxury a standard.
Safety
Safety was one of the main priorities of Hyundai when they designed the Genesis. Sensor-based technologies such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, autonomous emergency braking and electronic brake distribution, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control and reversing collision avoidance are just some of the safety features included in this vehicle. It also includes nine passenger airbags, daytime running lights or DRLS and pre-safe systems. In ANCAP’s 21-year history, the Hyundai Genesis received the highest safety rating at 36.88 out of 37 points. Hyundai believes a luxury vehicle should be the safest one on the road.
Performance
Matching the Genesis’ dynamic shape and elegant interior, the vehicle features a powerful all-aluminium Lambda II GDi V6 engine. This 3.8-litre power plant produces around 232 kW at 6,000 rpm and 397 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, with enough power to drive toe-to-toe with the likes of its competition. Its elongated wheelbase, finely tuned suspension and eight-speed Shiftronic transmission seamlessly pairs a smooth ride with refined acceleration. Drivers can expect smooth handling while driving through the urban streets to the open roads.
Every curve, contour and engine roar will engage your senses. Intuitive technologies ensure comfort and safety for its driver and passengers. In all, the Hyundai Genesis evokes luxury and quality at an affordable price.
